We are gutted.
Just as restrictions around the country appeared to be easing and with it the promise that we would be able to restart face-to-face ultrasound training, this afternoon saw that rug pulled from underneath us in one fell swoop.
With the announcement today from the Premier of Victoria Daniel Andrews, we have been forced to postpone our planned July 13 restart and instead shutter our operations to hunker down – again.
Based on the current state of Covid-19 infections, the State Government has imposed a return to Stage 3 restrictions from 11:59 PM 8 July 2020.
Every indication is that Stage 3 restrictions will last for a period of at least six weeks, which would take us to 19 August 2020.
This unfortunately means that many of you that have booked – or already rescheduled – an ultrasound course over that period will no longer be able to attend your preferred date.
We’re working on Plan B
Given that the announcement was made only a few hours ago with little advance warning, we are working as hard as we can on Plan B.
With physical distancing being the primary mitigation strategy to beat this monster of a virus, delivery of face-to-face courses over the six week period will not be possible.
To gauge when scheduled courses may be able to resume we will closely be following the advice of Victoria’s chief health officer, the Department of Health and Human Services (Vic) (DHHS) and Department of Health (Fed) (DoH).
In the meantime we will be exploring other avenues to deliver you the ultrasound training you came to us for. Please bear with us as we look for new ways to bring ultrasound to you.
