Third Trimester Ultrasound for Nurses and Midwives - Master the fundamentals of ultrasound assessment in late pregnancy. Identify the placental location, fetal lie and amniotic fluid volumes.

Objectives

On completion of this two-day clinically focused ultrasound program, learners will be able to:
  • Use ultrasound system controls to optimise imaging for accurate diagnosis
  • Develop proficiency in probe manipulation to efficiently acquire diagnostic images
  • Confidently use ultrasound to confirm the fetal lie and placental location
  • Perform measurements of the amniotic fluid index to assess fetal well-being
  • Write meaningful reports for successful communication and record-keeping
