Zedu Weekly Wrap – 7 February 2025
Summer has hit with a vengeance here in Melbourne…
with hot days and nights ensuring our ultrasound related laundry has been crisp! 🙂
We’ve been running hot here too with sonographer and POCUS courses running side-by-side the past couple of weeks. It’s amazing to sit and hear the lunch discussions and the interdisciplinary learning occurring. Everyone bringing their different knowledge and experience to the table is eye opening.
Learning is partly about breaking those long established silos – there’s no silo in sight here at ZeduHQ. It’s great fun to see – why not come and experience it for yourself?
In news this week take a look at:
- New guidelines from the ASE on ultrasound guided vascular cannulation
- A piece on “Implementation of prehospital point-of-care ultrasound using a novel continuous feedback approach in a UK helicopter emergency medical service”
- ASRA’s ‘POCUS for the pediatric anesthesiologist’
We’ll be shutting down the systems and checking out for the week soon – the pool beckons!
See you next Friday

Doppler ultrasound for venous congestion – #VEXUS – has truly been game-changing in my clinical #POCUS practice.
Here’s the TL;DR on the concept of #VEXUS – 🧵
