Zedu Weekly Wrap – 11 August 2023
Hey crew…
it’s been a diverse week this week – chokka block full of obstetricians and podiatrists! Quite the contrast, but with ultrasound as the common ground a really fun time.
We’ve captured a similarly diverse range of items in the weekly wrap too – from real-time ultrasound evaluation of core muscles to emergency medicine curriculum development there’s sure to be something to pique your interest.
We recommend taking a look at:
- Brian Elliott’s (@BrianElliottMD1) review of the “Implementation and Evaluation of a Longitudinal Flipped-Classroom Point-of-Care Ultrasound Curriculum at an Internal Medicine Residency Program” (9 August)
- A tutorial from ALiEM (ALiEMteam) on the use of point of care ultrasonography (POCUS) for pediatric lung ultrasound (9 August)
PLUS we’ve uploaded to our website for your viewing pleasure the August Coaching Corner – providing a step-by-step guide to TV scanning. And of course there’s our usual articule of the week and a load of other resources.
Signing off now – see you next week!

Make 2024 your year of ultrasound and check out our range of scheduled and one-on-one options that will get you scanning like a pro.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!

We implemented a #POCUS curriculum at our internal medicine residency. One of the most surprising things to me: no one was using (or really wanted to use) #POCUS DVT exams.
