Zedu Weekly Wrap – 11 November 2022
We can’t believe 2023 is almost here…
as we’re only just now getting used to writing 2022 on everything! Consequently we’ve been beavering away at Zedu HQ drawing together the calendar for the full year – which has just been uploaded to the website.
All the usual favourites are there with plenty of options to choose from – PLUS keep an eye out soon as there will be a couple of new offerings that have been on the horizon for a while. We will keep you posted.
As always the free ultrasound resources have been coming thick and fast. Highlights include some fun TikToks with real educational content from Yale Tung Chen (@yaletung), Gregorio Romero-González (@Tubulocentric) on POCUS in nephrology, and a tutorial on the POCUS pulse check by Dr Erin Sachs from Alberta Sono (@UAlberta_Sono) – all worth checking out.
That’s it for the week – see you later…
Suean and Mike
PS – this month’s Coaching Corner on how to asses pain and bleeding in thy 1st trimester will be available soon – but if you can’t wait check out the back catalogue of free ultrasound training resources.
PS – Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!

I've had lots of requests for info on where to access content to help learn obstetric/periop #pocus after #OAA3dc2022 lecture
Rather than just put up some clips I'll link some of my go-to sites & call on some #pocusmates to add their favourites

Take homes:
1⃣ Redefining "the hyperdynamic heart" with #MAPSE
2⃣ MAPSE is better than EF in the #ICU
3⃣ Linking MAPSE with supply/demand-ischemia

With the direction of Twitter somewhat unclear, but the value of #FOAMed immeasurable, what are your thoughts?
Will you stay or go?
Mastodon is being touted as a replacement – will you be there?
