Zedu Weekly Wrap – 30 October 2026
Happy Halloween from Zedu HQ!…
This week there was something strange in the training rooms – so who did we call? Probebusters. Probes were found humming at midnight, gel bottles mysteriously emptied themselves, and more than one participant swore they saw a ghostly B-line flickering across the screen. Rest assured, our expert educators investigated and confirmed these were all perfectly benign artefacts (though the haunted “mirror image” in the liver view remains unexplained).
Whether you’re chasing shadows behind a gallstone or banishing reverberation demons from the bladder, remember: with the right technique, there’s nothing to fear but poor probe pressure.
Shadowy pages to scan in this edition:
- Serial ultrasound assessment of flexor carpi ulnaris and biceps brachii cross-sectional area in critically ill patients: A prospective cohort study (PLOSOne, 30 October)
- The effect of point-of-care ultrasound on family physicians’ diagnostic certainty and clinical decision making: a prospective cohort study from rural Canada (RRH, 27 October)
Stay spooky, scan safe, and see you next week, when we promise to keep the acoustic enhancement to a minimum and the learning outcomes fully alive!
Keep your probes clean and the gel warm.
