Zedu Weekly Wrap – 13 January 2023
We’re back on deck…
after a fabulous break, slowing down and generally having fun with family and friends. And fully re-energised we’re into teaching mode again, with a first busy week setting the scene for what looks like to be another exciting year. We’ve got ideas aplenty so watch this space for new developments.
With the Christmas break, this issue of the weekly wrap is a bumper edition. We’ve done our best to keep up with two weeks of news, views and information – seems that not even the holiday season slows the world of ultrasound.
Highlights include more additions to the ever growing ultrasound resources of Joseph Minardi (@jminardi21), an article from @accpshest that highlights a new lung ultrasound protocol (LUSext) that correlates with severity of CT findings of #COVID19 pneumonia while being practical for bedside use, and an Australian study that captures the value and societal benefits that antenatal point-of-care ultrasound training workshops can deliver to rural/remote healthcare clinicians and their communities (@AmberBidner, @embzk, @nparange).
There’s something for everyone.
Here’s to the launch of another amazing year.
Se eyou next week
Suean and Mike
P.S. – follow us on Mastodon – https://med-mastodon.com/@zedunow
P.P.S. – Catch up with all 30 episodes of the Coaching Corner – covering a wide gamut of ultrasound topics – and always free 🙂 The next instalment will be Thursday 2 February see you in 2023! (Let us know if you want something specific covered…)
PS – Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!
