Zedu Weekly Wrap – 16 December 2022
We made it to the last week of teaching for 2022…
PHEW!! What a year – in the ‘post-covid’ world things literaly dialled up to 11, so everyone here dug deep and riffed so hard Nigel Tufnel would be impressed.
2022 was the first time since 2019 that we were not impacted by lockdowns – a fact we’re still coming to grips with. We’re tremendously proud of the team who have battled through with us, all the while facing their own personal and professional pressures. But it never impacted their attitude at Zedu HQ, or the quality of ultrasound teaching. And for that we’re eternally grateful. Thank you team. And to everyone who visited us this year – thank you too. We’ve loved seeing new (and familiar) faces come through, and have had a great time learning with you – it’s been a blast! So here’s to an equally crazy/fun 2023!
This is the penultimate weekly wrap for the year (last one next week) and then we’ll be taking a break for a couple of weeks.
Highlights for this week include a piece on bedside echo for the evaluation of patients with dyspnea (@MH_EMultrasound), the latest issue of ICU Management & Practice (Vol 22, Iss 5) dedicated to imaging the critically ill and a paper on ultrasound in primary care in Europe providing consensus recommendations on its applications and training (@EurJGenPract). All well worth browsing.
That’s all for now – see you next week…
Suean and Mike
P.S. – follow us on Mastodon – https://med-mastodon.com/@zedunow
P.P.S. – Catch up with all 30 episodes of the Coaching Corner – covering a wide gamut of ultrasound topics – and always free 🙂 The next instalment will be Thursday 2 February see you in 2023! (Let us know if you want something specific covered…)
PS – Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!
