Zedu Weekly Wrap – 2 September 2022
Spring has sprung…
and the wattle’s out – which is beautiful but the many who suffer from hay fever are cursing! Just as we were cursing a little last night as we went through 5 computers trying to get the coaching corner up and running! In the end everything worked (we were sweating) and had a great session on communicating the probe moves. The recording will be up on the website soon.
Plenty of highlights to work through this week – lung ultrasound featuring as is the case these days (@AlmudenaAlonso4, @drmilicaa, @JaypeeJournals) and a consensus paper Establishing the International Research Priorities for Pediatric Emergency Medicine Point-of-Care Ultrasound (@SAEMonline ft @PEM_Ultrasound, @shefmd, @thedoctormaz, @DGoodAsGold, @AaronKornblith, @ASiv7475).
An we encourage you to join our POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook. – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues.See you next week
Suean and Mike
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta! We’re running this internationally recognised course in Australia for the first time in July and October – don’t miss out.

Our latest paper w @RonBhimani @FARIL_MGH @MassGeneralNews showed dynamic #ultrasound quantifies severity of #MCL injury.
Medial tibiofemoral distance >13.8 mm at 20° was found to indicate deep MCL injury w diagnostic accuracy of 0.97.https://t.co/5N9FUrUoBr pic.twitter.com/SLo3xtL72U
