Zedu Weekly Wrap – 20 May 2022
It’s federal election season here in Australia…
and it has been a hot topic of debate over lunch, with everyone bringing different views from experience in the health sector from around the country. We’ve had the privilege of hearing the difficulties of providing maternal and child healthcare services to remote indigenous communtities, as well as the issues facing tertiary referral hospitals in our major centres.
I know politics is a taboo subject in many circles but we hope – whatever the outcome on Saturday – that it delivers compassion and sensibility to a sector that is facing significant distress, whichever way you look at it.
As always, if there’s something on the horizon that you’d like added to our weeklywrap – or something we’ve missed – let us know.
See you next week.
Mike and Suean
P.S. – Suean’s Coaching Corner on what it takes to become a Sonographer Educator in the Emergency Department (SEED) is available to view here – check it out.
If you’re a sonographer thinking about becoming a SEED – or a potential employer trying to understand what it takes to make the transition – take a look at our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course designed specifically to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. We’re running this internationally recognised course in Australia for the first time in July and October – don’t miss out.
