Zedu Weekly Wrap – 27 May 2022
May has come to a close…
…and the leaves are gone from the trees around here as we farewell Autumn and head into the depths of Winter. While it’s tempting to dig out the woollies, make soup and hibernate, we’re gearing up for the second half of the year. Plenty of courses to organise, and a few conferences to attend face-to-face – quite the novelty. We all have our fingers crossed that the combination of flu and covid don’t spoil the party.
Plenty to scan through this week – lung and heart trending across the board. As always, if there’s something on the horizon that you’d like added to our weeklywrap – or something we’ve missed – let us know.
See you next week.
Mike and Suean
P.S. – Suean’s Coaching Corner on what it takes to become a Sonographer Educator in the Emergency Department (SEED) is available to view here – check it out.
If you’re a sonographer thinking about becoming a SEED – or a potential employer trying to understand what it takes to make the transition – take a look at our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course designed specifically to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. We’re running this internationally recognised course in Australia for the first time in July and October – don’t miss out.

🔐This new retrospective study of 115 children undergoing emergency appendicectomy found that 32% had gastric contents considered to pose a higher risk of pulmonary aspiration.
Can gastric ultrasound negate the need for RSI for those at low risk?
