Zedu Weekly Wrap – 2 December 2022
December 2 is an auspicious date for us…
It was a warm Sunday evening on in 2007 when we came up with the mad plan that teaching bedside ultrasound (POCUS wasn’t even a term then) was a good idea. And so Ultrasound Training Solutions was born.
In the ensuing 15 years – and without hyperbole – we’ve had births, deaths, marriages, floods, fires, rebranding to Zedu and pandemics to deal with. No wonder our hair is a different shade these days…
But throughout it all our passion has never waivered, and this is in no small part is thanks to you. We wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for your support, energy and drive to learn and develop your ultrasound skills. As technology develops and teaching methods change we hope that we’ll be there with you for another 15 years.
Highlights for this week include Scott Biggerstaff’s (@medpedspocus) summary of of POCUS papers, Joseph Minardi (@jminardi21) continues the reease of his YouTube POCUS series, and TracyMorton (@TracyMorton) discusses how tele-echo is changing things up in remote Canada.
That’s all for now – we’re off to eat some birthday cake – see you next week…

P.P.S. – November’s Coaching Corner (the last for 2022) on assessing pain and bleeding in thy 1st trimester IS AVAILABLE NOW 🙂 Be sure to tune in on Thursday 2 February next year for the next instalment – see you in 2023! (Let us know if you want something specific covered…)
PS – Join the POCUS Educators / Seed Support Network on Facebook – a safe space to share education tips, resources and issues. People from around the world are joining in so come on down.
Get the most out of your teaching moments – join our TRain the UltraSound Trainer (TRUST) course This isn’t a course on how to perform an ultrasound examination or use the technology – it’s designed to give you the teaching tools you’ll need to teach ultrasound on the run. In the words of a previous participant – it’s meta!

Past 2 weeks were so nuts I missed my first non-vacation @VaveHealth CMO vid of the week in almost 2.5 yrs! I believe bladder #POCUS is SO useful: real POCUS not bladder scanner.
